Guitarist Steve Kaufman from Tennessee, USA, the only three-time winner of the National Flatpicking Championships will be touring the UK with concerts at venues across the country.
We are fortunate to have him performing a concert locally and visiting some selected local schools in the area on the 21st of September in amongst his busy touring schedule.
Fresh from playing at the Cornish bluegrass festival, he will be leading assemblies at Rose Green Juniors, The Regis School and Laburnum Grove Juniors and give the children a taste of traditional, folk and bluegrass music. Most notably Flatpicking style guitar, there may also be some banjo and mandolin too.
On the evening of the 21st Sept at 7pm there will be a public concert by Steve at the brand new South Way Primary School, near the Arena in Bognor Regis.
Kaufman's music covers a broad range of styles, including bluegrass, swing, Irish and Appalachian fiddle tunes and folk and country classics. He has been captivating audiences from California to Ireland and across Europe since 1976 and is a featured performer at many major bluegrass festivals.
